New borders

Defining areas
This border was created to provide a year round display which acts as an informal barrier between the main garden and wild meadow beyond, to define the two areas.

Here a summer house and terrace is being built, so this border was created to help soften the the straight lines of the new building.

Walled border
The small original bed was dominated by a few overgrown plants, so the new border was created along the wall to provide shelter and widened to give more depth for planting. Existing plants were divided and mingled with new shrubs and perennials. Once established, this border will be full with colour and texture.
