Coastal garden

Communal planting
This communal garden surrounding a block of seaside luxury flats required planting that was quick growing to fill out the vast areas of slate chippings, but also low maintenance once established, so a range of shrubs tolerant of coastal exposure have been used to provide colour year round.

The raised beds in front of the building create an impact from the main entrance, and while providing a coastal feel for the groundfloor flats, care has been taken not to detract the eye from the stunning sea views beyond.
